Norton legislature Temba Mliswa celebrated former Vice President Joice Mujuru’s 67th birthday yesterday.
Writing on Twitter, Mliswa said its sad that no one has been able to tell the true story of Mai Mujuru’s removal from power and office.
“Happy Birthday Mai Mujuru. I have always hoped and prayed that you will be vindicated one day for I know you did nothing wrong.”
In 2014, Joice was denounced for allegedly plotting against Mugabe. As a result of the accusations, she lost both her post as Vice-President and her position in the party leadership.
Mliswa said all the allegations of her working to remove Mugabe were lies.
“That bare fact is apparent if you look at what also happened to ED later on. He was accused of the same things as people sought to remove him from power too.”
He added that Mai Mujuru together with everyone branded as Gamatox never sat to plot against Mugabe.
“Since that factional conspiracy @ZANUPF_Official has never been strong as a party. I hope and know that truth will always come out.”
Mliswa said Mai Mujuru remains a great woman who fought for her country.
“She was never soiled by corruption and is among a few such great leaders. Enjoy your day. Be happy with you grandkids Nzou. History will exonerate you. Joice Mujuru”
