Prominent activist for Citizens Coalition for Change, Madzibaba Veshanduko has been arrested in the capital city, Harare.
According to Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR), Hopewell Chinono and other sources, Madzibaba Veshanduko is also badly injured following an attack by members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
The sources said he was arrested for wearing yellow.
“Famous opposition supporter, Madzibaba veShanduko has been arrested by Zimbabwe Republic Police today corner Julius Nyerere and Nelson Mandela road.
It is not yet clear what he was arrested for.
The regime has been harassing opposition supporters and banning CCC rallies,” posted Chinono.
However, the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights has sent its lawyers to defend the activist.
“At Harare Central Police Station, our lawyers @mudashoko @IdirasheC @DougColtart are trying to get access to Madzibaba ve Shanduko arrested in the capital city today,” posted ZLHR.
