MDC Alliance President, Nelson Chamisa, has revealed that he will soon announce a new party name.
Writing on Twitter, Chamisa said:

Chamisa is expected to announce the name before the sitting of the nomination court on 26th of January, after Douglas Mwonzora wrote to ZEC and said his party will contest all upcoming elections using the name MDC Alliance.
According to internal sources, Chamisa is likely to announce a name that has a prefix, such as MDC Chamisa.
The same name will be used in the 2023 elections in the harmonized elections.
