Thokozani Khuphe’s spokesperson has confirmed he has been arrested citing abuse of state power.
In an interview with Simba Chikanza, Phugeni said he was actually kidnapped while at a family meeting causing fear among the people around.
He said he was instructed to follow the police to the station upon arrival he was told to produce his pictures and sit down on the floor.
Phugeni said seven more people who came to assist him were arrested by the police.
Khupe’s spokesperson blamed the new regime for trying to suppress opposition in the country.
