The Republic of South Africa has seen an increase in the Covid-19 cases.

As of 28 July the cumulative number of covid-19 cases identified in South Africa is 2 408 525.

The country also recorded 17 351 new cases.

The country further recorded 520 deaths bringing the total to 70 908 deaths.

As of 28 July the cumulative number of recoveries stood at 2 186 988 with a recovery rate of 90, 8%.

On 27 July the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases identified in SA was at 2 391 223 with 7 773 new cases reported.

The country further recorded 370 deaths bringing the total to 70 388 deaths.

South Africa’s vaccination program was affected by violent protests that took place few weeks ago.

Earlier this year it was further affected by the blood clots that were identified in the Johnson and Johnson vaccines.

The realisation of blood clots forced the government of South Africa to pause the vaccination roll-out.
