The people of Swaziland (Eswatini) have been protesting for the past few days as they are trying to pressure King Mswati to make changes in the country.

The angry protesters have sofar burnt buildings including Eswatini Beverages a company in which King Mswati owns shares.

According to local reports, the protesters started peacefully in the Manzini region on Africa’s last absolute monarchy on June 20.

However, the situation has worsened to an extent that King Mswati has deployed the armed forces to restore order.

He further shut down the internet so as to stop citizens from sharing information about what is happening in the country.

Videos circulating on social media are showing the Eswatini police officers picking up bodies on the streets.

However, the Prime Minister of Eswatini denied that there are deaths that have been recorded due to protests in the country.
