Popular American Gospel Musician, Kirk Franklin, has been forced to apologise after his 33 year old son, Kerrion, released a recording of their telephone conversation in which Kirk threatened to beat him using profanity.
Speaking on the Tamron Hall show, Kirk said:
This one is very painful, because my son recorded our conversations, it was, a big shock for me.
I just want to not give up on that one chance, that one phone call, so I just never wanted to give up on the opportunity, even though sometimes the conversation just goes left, so I may ask y’all to keep praying for our family, I would love to see God’s hand.
People have every right to be disappointed to hear me use that language, I’m disappointed in myself for using that language. And at the same time, I’m human. I’m a father, and I’m a father, that has a son, and I have a history. I have a history of a toxic challenging turbulent relationship with a grown man now that I’m still trying to fight for.Â
