ZANU PF director of information Tafadzwa Mugwadi has revealed that MDC A VP Tendai Biti wants to replace Nelson Chamisa in the 2023 Presidential elections.

Mugwadi said: “Apparently I am told he is canvassing to replace @nelsonchamisa ahead of 2023. Things fall apart.”

In 2019, United States officials were reported to be rooting for the party’s vice president, Tendai Biti, to take charge of the party ahead of the 2023 elections citing lack of tact in Chamisa.

Mugwadi revealed the information while asking Biti to ask for forgiveness after he appeared to confirm perceptions that witchcraft is widely practised in Chipinge.

Biti made the offending statement when he was commenting on Professor Lovemore Madhuku’s interpretation of the law, which he characterized as being “pure witchcraft.” He then went on to say that this was hardly surprising since Madhuku hails from Chipinge.
