South African based Zimbabwean soccer player, Evans Rusike, has been struggling since joining Supersport United in January 2018.

Rusike has now been given a last warning, to score or leave.

The Sowetan newspaper reports that Supersport CEO, Stan Matthew’s has told Rusike that the club will not excersize their one year option on his contract when it expires at the end of this year, if he does not score more goals.

Since joining Supersport from Maritzburg United, Rusike has scored only 7 goals in 3 seasons.

Goals

In 2017/2018 – Rusike scored 1 goal in 12 matches.

In 2018/2019, Rusike scored 6 goals in 29 matches,

In 2020/2021 he has not scored any goals from four games.

Rusike has suffered various injuries and has been playing in the unfamiliar position as a winger. Rusike is more comfortable aa a center forward.
