Amalgamated Rural Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ) Harare Highglen District members demonstrated at their District Offices in Highfields on Friday demanding salaries in USD.
In the Demonstration, ARTUZ officials along with teachers in Rural Areas of Zimbabwe demanded that the government start paying them in USDs because prices now are now Pegged using the USD currency.
One of the teachers said that many prices now are in USDs yet they are being given little money that buys a few things while the government is refusing to pay them salaries that actually have value.
