South African Based Zimbabwean Amapiano Queen Sha Sha has won the 2020 BET Viewers’ Choice: Best New International Act Award.
The 26-year-old was up against Rema from Nigeria, Celeste from the United Kingdom, Young T and Bugsey from the United Kingdom, Hatik from France and Stacy from France.
Sha Sha made history by becoming the first Zimbabwean to be nominated for the BET awards which showcase the best and most beautiful aspects of the Black experience.
Sha Sha signed to DJ Maphorisa’s Blaqboy record label in 2018, and has featured on several hits with Maphorisa and DJ Kabza de Small.
The award was presented by Nomzamo Mbatha from South Africa.
Celebrating on her Twitter handle Sha Sha thanked her fans for their support.
