“Good afternoon our members.
This is the first meeting of the standing committee after the Supreme court ruling.
As the MDC-T we were founded on the foundation of constitutionalism, non discrimination and non violence.
The meeting was called to reflect and correct mistakes.
These are the founding members of the MDC. These are members from ZCTU. The five original members have departed and the three are present.
We are standing and we are raring to go.
We are an opposition that is going to build. We want to be a government in waiting. We want to be a responsible leadership.
That is why we called our members of parliament to attend parliament.
Message to Zimbabweans
As the Official Opposition we are here to serve. We have returned to our founding values of the MDC.
We called you so that you know that we are now working from the Morgan Tsvangirai House.”
