There was more confusion and drama this afternoon after Justice Mfurise ruled that the MDC is a political party.
This was said as during the judgement of the Interdict application brought by Thabitha Khumalo and Lilian Timveos.
The judge said Khumalo and Timveos’s rights were affected by the recall and they should be given a chance to be heard before replacements are made in Parliament.
The respondents were Mwonzora, Khuphe, the MDC Tsvangirai, Speaker or the National Assembly and Priscilla Chigumba.
The ruling means that Khuphe and Mwonzora will not be able to replace the recalled MPs until their cases on the pricedural fairness of theor recall is heard.
