Saymore Mashorokoto was acquitted today by a Bindura magistrate on charges against him calling ED Mnangagwa a failure.
Saymore was arrested last month after he labeled ED Mnangagwa as a failure whilst talking to a neighbour .
The Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights lawyers represented him.
It is alleged that he claimed that ED Mnangagwa failed to revive Zimbabwe’ s economic and political fortunes.
Zimbabweans in general and the opposition together with the international community have been calling for implementation of both political and economic reforms. ED Mnangagwa’ s government has not committed itself to reforms hence freedom of speech is suppressed in Zimbabwe.
