Chinhoyi university of technology students have threatened to boycott graduation ceremony this year over exorbitant graduation fees which they are saying are unrealistic.
CUT is charging 785 fees per full semester but wants to charge 680 for a one day event. The students feel the fees are too much comparing with other universities which are charging reasonable prices, UZ 240 and MAY 300.
The students are arguing that the institution must consider the harsh economic challenges.
The school authorities are however avoiding students, no clarity has been made yet to anyone, the high fees have been imposed.
