Apostle Joe Daniel has called on Zimbabwe’s wealthy businessmen popularly known as “Mbingas” to invest in empowering their wives and close relatives so that their legacies live on beyond their lifetime.
Speaking during a recent sermon, Apostle Joe Daniel stressed that many fortunes fade after the death of their owners due to poor planning and lack of knowledge transfer to those left behind.
He used the late businessman Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure as an example, noting that his lavish fleet of cars was sold after his passing, leaving little trace of his once flamboyant empire.
“This is why people end up saying akaromba,” Apostle Joe said, explaining that it is often not witchcraft but poor management that erases a legacy.
He also pointed out that in many cases, widows of prominent figures remarry other influential men simply to survive financially.
He dismissed fears that empowering a wife would make her disrespectful, saying, “If she is disrespectful, it’s because you found her like that. Teaching and empowering her doesn’t change her character it secures your legacy.”
