Senator Sengezo Tshabangu has announced that he has filed an appeal with the Supreme Court, seeking to overturn a recent ruling by the High Court that barred him from exercising his powers as a member of Parliament.

In a statement shared on social media, Senator Tshabangu expressed his concerns over the High Court ruling, emphasizing his commitment to represent the interests of his constituents.

He stated, “Following the High Court ruling barring me from exercising my power as a leader, I’ve filed an appeal with the Supreme Court that seeks to overturn the ruling of the High Court against me as I’m still vested with powers to defend the rights of the people I represent.”

This as the Acting President of CCC, Welshman Ncube suspended Tshabangu pending a disciplinary hearing.
