A termination letter issued to General Anselem Sanyatwe, the head of Zimbabwe National Army and his appointment as Minister of Sports has been dismissed.
It has been dismissed on procedural error as army generals should be retired before assuming a role or a position in the parliament.
“please disregard the letter which refers that CDE Lt General Sanyatwe have been removed from his post. Army Generals are notified of the notification to retire them and by operation of law can not be ministers or join parliament until parliament is notified of their retirement and handover takeover happens. Lt General is still CZNA”.
This information has however been dismissed by the public stating that a letter to correct the previous press statement has to be issued. “Since when instructions achipihwa ne app anouya pa memo or via radio baba not text,”
