Minister of Youth, Sports,Arts and Recreation Kirsty Coventry has announced her candidacy for International Olympics Committee.
Kirsty has been known for her role in the Olympics as an award winner and after retirement became part of the international committee.
Her candidacy for the presidency is important as her victory will signal her being the first female president in history.
Kirsty candidacy for International Olympics Committee for March 2025 comes as the reigning president Thomas Bach is set to retire in 2025.
