Harare West Member of Parliament Joana Mamombe has raised concerns about the dire water situation in Mbire, where El Nino’s impact has led to a severe scarcity of safe and clean drinking water sources.
The shortage has resulted in humans and animals sharing the same watering holes, leading to increased cases of human-wildlife conflict.
Mamombe has called upon the government to take immediate action to provide alternative safe water sources to alleviate the crisis as the country battles the effects of climate change.
