Former Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) president and 2023 presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa is set to issue a statement on the August 2023 elections today.
In a teaser post on his X account, Chamisa hinted at a major announcement, saying, “Tomorrow, I’m going to release a special statement on the resolution of the 2023 August General Elections. Watch the space.”
Chamisa’s resignation as CCC president following the recall of his MPs from parliament by self-proclaimed interim leader Sengezo Tshabangu sparked controversy, with some labeling him a “sellout” and a “Zanu-pf project.”
Zanu-pf supporters on X have already begun criticizing Chamisa’s upcoming statement.
“Chamisa will waste your time again tomorrow,” said Zanu-pf patriots on X quoting Chamisa’s message.
Despite the criticism, many are eagerly awaiting Chamisa’s statement, hoping for clarity on his next move and his thoughts on the results of the 2023 elections.
