Foreign Affairs and International Trade minister Frederick Shava says Algy Cluff will collaborate with the Mutapa Investment Fund to extract lithium at Sandawana Mine in Mberengwa.

This comes after Shava received a courtesy call from the Executive Chairman of Cluff Africa Associates UK LTD, Cluff.

The minister said Cluff’s company will collaborate with the Mutapa Investment Fund to extract lithium at Sandawana Mine.

Algy a pioneer of North Sea oil exploration, founded Cluff Oil in 1972. He has more than thirty years of exploration in the gold industry in Africa and the discovery and development of gold mines in Zimbabwe, Ghana, Burkina Faso and Tanzania.

Shava said Zimbabwe’s foreign policy under President Emmerson Mnangagwa has shifted, and “the country is now attracting investment from countries that had previously turned away from Zimbabwe due to its land reform”.
