Quest Financial services robbery suspect Blessing Sumbani was shot dead during a police shootout along Manyame River in Southlea Park.
In a statement, national police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.
Sithole (49), was shot on the back before being taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital where he died upon admission.
He was a suspect in the infamous US$720, 000 Quest Financial Services robbery in Belgravia, Harare.
Sithole was reportedly captured in Makondo Extension, Chiredzi.
Police recovered a 0.38 Special Revolver, seven rounds of ammunition, and a Toyota Probox vehicle.
