Police in Zimbabwe have banned the Job Sikhala Solidarity Rally which was planned for this weekend.
Responding to a letter from the Job Sikhala Solidarity Council, the Zimbabwe Republic Police said:
The notification to hold a procession rally in support of Job Sikhala on 23 December at Huruyadzo Hall is prohibited. The notification does not meet the requirements of section 7 of the MOPA Act. Therefore your event has not been sanctioned.
