Malawi won their first Cosafa Women’s Cup title in yesterday in a tightly-contested final at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.
Malawi downed a strong Zambian team 2-1 to be crowned champions.
This was the second time Malawi made it to the final, with their first appearance being back in 2021 where they lost to Tanzania.
Zimbabwe lost the third place to Mozambique as it claimed a 1-0 defeat and took home a bronze.
