Loice Matanda Moyo has been appointed as the new Prosecutor-General.

She has served as chair of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission since May 2019.

Zimbabwe has gone without a Prosecutor General since March 2022, when Kumbirai Hodzi resigned citing ill health.

Previously, a PG was appointed after public interviews and recommendations from the Judicial Services Commission (JSC) but this was amended in 2021, allowing the President to appoint a PG after consultations with the JSC.
