The Mayor of Bulawayo David Coltart says he is not going to get a new mayoral car in the next five years.
When he was appointed Education minister, Coltart turned down a Mercedes Benz and used a Nissan 4×4 which was much better suited to visiting rural schools.
He said the city has only six functional refuse collection trucks, five ambulances while it needs 30 and there are only 4 fire engines.
Coltart said the resources for the new cars can be used to improve service delivery in the city.
