The Zimbabwe Republic Police has arrested 41 Suspects and recovered ICT equipment illegally intended to announce election results.
Police said they are disturbed by the criminal activities by certain individuals and civic organizations including Election Support Network, Election Resource Centre and Team Pachedu.
This follows a tip-off received from ZRP crack team at Holiday Inn Hotel in Harare.
As a result, a total of 93 smart cellphones, 38 laptops, 2 smart watch, 2 modems, 1wifi router, external hard drive, Nokia feature phone, 1 printer, 1 x 24 port switch, various computer chargers, power backup unit and headphones were recovered.
The equipment was being used to unlawfully tabulate election voting statistics and results from polling stations throughout the country.
Hence this led to the arrest of 41 suspects named below.
