At least three senior executive members have stepped down from Chapman’s DUZ in the past week, making allegations of dictatorship and lack of organization.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, one member of the party said Robert Chapman has approached ZANU-PF asking to be included in a post election Government of National Unity. The former executive sensationally alleged that Chapman is living in a house in Harare that is financed by a son of a prominent ZANU-PF member.
Speaking in a voice note that was received by Gambakwe Media, former member, Elvis Dzvene can be heard complaining that the three top members in DUZ are personalizing the party and Chapman was treating the DUZ as his own personal company because he was funding it.
Responding to the allegations, Pishayi Muchauraya said the members that have left were sent to penetrate the security of Mr Chapman. He denied that Chapman was staying at the house of a top ZANU-PF member. after being given the name of the member, Pishayi Muchauraya said Chapman was staying in Chinhoyi with his grandmother.
