The Hmetro reports that Zimbabwe’s most celebrated cricket player and a former captain, is undergoing cancer treatment in South Africa.
Heath was reportedly fishing last week but the condition worsened in last seven days, taking Streak to a hospital in Johannesburg.
In a statement, spokesperson Joseph Rego said the family sought privacy as Streak fights the deadly disease.
“He remains in good spirits and will continue to fight this disease… The family hopes that you understand and respect their wish for this to remain a private family matter, and thank you for your prayers and good wishes.”
