South Africa’s ambassador to Algeria, Billy Masetlha has died after a long illness.
Masethla died aged 68.
He served the government in various capacities and was deeply involved in the anti-apartheid movement.
He was in the National Intelligence Agency before former president Thabo Mbeki fired him for spying on behalf of former president Jacob Zuma.
