Former Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) chairperson and Constitutional Court judge Justice Rita Makarau has been appointed acting Judge of the Namibian Supreme Court.
Makarau’s has been appointed on a one year term running from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.
She is the first female Judge President of to come from Zimbabwe.
Makarau is the Justice of the Supreme Court of Zimbabwe and former Secretary of the Judicial Services Commission (JSC).
