Bulawayo schools are partnering with the University of Zimbabwe towards introducing the Chinese language as a subject.
Taungana Ndoro, the ministry of primary and secondary education director of communication and advocacy said several schools have adopted the learning of Chinese language as part of four foreign languages taught in the country.
Primary and secondary education permanent secretary, Tumisang Thabela said the government is teaching pupils so that they can compete at a global stage.
