President Emmerson Mnangagwa will not attend Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral due to travel restrictions imposed on him.
In a letter dated 12 September 2022, Miss Jennie Vennie said Mnangagwa’s request to attend the funeral will not be granted because it would go against restrictions.
She added that invitations were sent to leaders invited by King Charles III personally and leaders from the common wealth countries.
Zimbabwe is yet to be granted permission to rejoin the Commonwealth. It will only be granted membership if the government implement reforms.
