President Emmerson Mnangagwa has fired High Court Judge Justice Edith Mushore for disappearing from work.
This comes after Mnangagwa appointed a tribunal to investigate Justice Mushore’s suitability for office following her disappearance
without official leave.
The tribunal was chaired by Justice Maphios Cheda and Advocate Charles Warara Yvonne Masvora.
Judges cannot be absent from work for more than three days without official leave.
Mushore is one of the judges who ruled in May last year that Chief Justice Luke Malaba had ceased to lead the bench reaching the age of mandatory retirement.
