Bulawayo High Court Judge Justice Martin Makonese has reinstated Tinashe Kambarami as Ward 3 Councillor and Bulawayo Deputy Mayor.
This follows his suspension from local authority activities over a theft case.
Kambarami appeared before a Bulawayo magistrate in July 2018, on theft charges, he pleaded guilty and was fined $80 or 18 days in prison for stealing an extension cord from an electrician he had hired to do manual work at his offices.
Kambarami filed an appeal against his suspension and the Supreme Court set aside the lower court’s decision to nullify his election as a councilor and deputy mayor.
