South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa abandoned Cosatu’s Worker’s Day rally in the North West after workers stormed the stage in the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday.

The workers from the Sibanye Stillwater’s gold operations, were chanting “he must leave” and “we want our money”.

Sibanye Stillwater workers have been on strike for the past seven weeks.

The unions want an increase of R1 000 for surface and underground miners and 6% for artisans, miners and officials
