Source of Wealth
Obert Karombe was an extremely wealthy man, who liked to pose with expensive cars. Among his collection of cars were Bentleys, mercedes SUVs, Fords etc.
Karombe had a speed boat and an expensive house which he lent to musician, Nox Guni, when he produced his music video recently.
Karombe, a former truck driver, was involved in logistics, transport, fuel and other commoditied rrading. He was also involved in panel-beating and luxury car sales.
Accident
Karombe had a head on collission with a military truck at about 2am and died on the scene. His slay queen girlfriend, Alecia Zimunya ( Mamagirl_aley), survived the accident. Speaking from her hospital bed, Zimunya explained that the couple were returning to Harare to book a flight for her – as she was preparing for her birthday.
Alecia lost her ear during the collission. Passing notorists tried to removed Karombe from the car, but he was already dead.
Causes of the accident
According to witnesses, an army truck encroached into the lane of Karombe’s expensive sedan leading to a head on collision.
The stretch of road in which Karombe had an accident is one lane and represents the last part of a journey. There are very few places to stop on the way and the road is very dark.
This combination of factors is likely the cause of the accident.
Controversies
Murder of Sheperd Mashodo
Karombe is said to have ordered the killing of a Chiredzi man, Sheperd Mashodo , an up and coming businessman, after a fuel deal went wrong about 10 years ago.
The sister of Mashodo, Hazel Jestinah, made the claims of facebook and claimed that Sheperd ‘s avenging spirit is haunting everyone involved in the murder.
She claimed that the next person to die will be Rwodzi Casey Mhofu, who was present in the car when the murder happened. However, Mhofu denied that Shepherd was murdered. Instead, he said there was a hijacking and Shepered was the only person killed after he tried to fight with the hijackers.
Mhofu explained that after the murder of Sheperd, he went to Thembisa hospital wih Jestinah and said she was a half sister to Shepered and not his real sister. Mhofu said he went to Chiredzi with Obert and they buried him together with his biological sister from Mutare, using their own funds for the burial.
A number of prophecies have surfaced online claiming that they predicetd Obert’s death, however, there is nothing concrete.
I got hold of Jestinah and she responded to my message, however, when I asked her to clarify her story she disappeared.
Slay queens
Karombe was linked to at least 7 slay queens , while he was still married to his wife. These include Alecia Zimunya, who was travelling with him when the accident happened, Kumbirai Busha, to whom he got engaged on Valentines day and Lolisha Mupfari, who was flying to Zimbabwe to meet up with him when the accident happened.
Karombe was still married to his wife with whom he had three children while carrying out affairs with at least 7 slay queens.
Conclusion
Karombe was a mysterious man, who spoke very little in public. He will be remembered for his love for expensive cars and women. More information will be revealed during his funeral.
