Popular musician, Ricky Fire ‘s appeals for assistance have fallen on deaf ears as Nelson Chamisa’ s CCC say they are not responsible for his welfare.
The musician, who composed the song Kudya Yellow, which is used at all CCC rallies, said this week that he is struggling to put food on the table.
Ricky Fire set up a GoFundMe campaign, which has so far raised only 110 pounds out of the 3000 pounds target.
Speaking to Gambakwe Media, people close to Chamisa said Ricky Fire was just a service provider and he was paid for his performances at the rallies.
We are currently not holding rallies, so Ricky is not our responsibility, said the source.
We paid his performance fees, transport and other expenses during all the rallies and have assisted him to obtain beats for his new songs.Â
The party has no money to pay Ricky when he is not performing, said the source.Â
