Former South African President Jacob Zuma failed to attend his corruption trial today due to an emergency medical ailment.

Jacob Zuma Foundation spokesperson Mzwanele Manyi said Zuma is in hospital and doctors are in the process of running a number of test.

Manyi said Zuma’s medical condition is a private and confidential matter.

Pietermaritzburg High Court Judge Piet Koen granted Zuma’s application to adjourn his arms deal trial until next month.
