Team Pachedu has distanced itself from Hebert Gomba’s alleged abduction.

This comes after a statement released in the afternoon said Gomba was located at 2 Brigade by Team Pachedu and Children of Zimbabwe War Veterans Association (COZWVA).

Pachedu said it has no links to the supplied information.

“Pachedu would like to distance itself from this statement which appears to be fake. We have not supplied any information on the alleged abduction of the former Harare Mayor, Herbert Gomba. Our team members are currently busy with the Voters’ Roll.”

Zimlive reports that Gomba was arrested after attending a police station with his lawyer Harrison Nkomo. He faces 2 charges under Electoral Act – one of registering 12 voters with his address and other of registering as a voter using his parents’ Glen Norah address.

Police had planned to charge Gomba with arson but Gilbert Mbwende, the MDC-T’s by-election candidate for Highfield East, today withdrew his complaint over burning of his car at Belvedere home in 2020.
