Zanu PF has sacked its director of information and publicity Tafadzwa Mugwadi.
The reasons for the suspension are not yet clear.
The surprise decision came shortly after he appeared alongside party spokesman Chris Mutsvangwa at a press conference.
Mugwadi dumped the late Morgan Tsvangirai
led MDC-T during his time as the students leader and joined Zanu PF, accusing the opposition party of being ideologically bankrupt.
Commenting on the sacking of Mugwadi, Hopewell Chin’ono said, “Remembering the fired ZANUPF Propaganda Director, the delusional Tafadzwa Mugwadi! Please can you ask @TafadzwaMugwadi to now unblock me. There is no point in continuing to block me when the corrupt political party that made him hate me has now fired him.”
