The Independent Legislator for Norton, Temba Mliswa has urged the president of Zimbabwe, His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa to appoint Joseph Nemaisa as head of his Security.

Nemaisa is trending on social media after he killed robbers who had broke into his house

Among the robbers were two members of the Zimbabwe National Army. According to multiple sources, the soldiers were supposed to be on duty, however they used the weapons to attack ex-detective, Joseph Nemaisa.

“If you have ever been to jail you will know that convicts will tell you who the good and bad cops are. Some of us have been there and we heard all about cops such as Joseph Nemaise there. The convicts were unequivocal that when he was on duty you did not mess around,” said Mliswa.

“He would hunt down the rogue elements and was removed for that. He was serious about his job. Nemaise should return to work by public demand. When the change of guard happened in 2017 they were a lot of reshuffles in the security sector. Some experts were removed and gossipers got in,” he added.

“However security is not about gossip and rumours, it’s about facts. People like Nemaise are security experts and should be the ones leading in the security sector. These are people who understand the field and provide the roadmap to deal with security issues. All those charges against him are fictitious. Today we have amateur people in the security sector, people who secure their jobs not by being good but through conspiracies and gossip. Mugabe stayed long in power because he retained real security experts and not conspiracy theorists,” Mliswa posted on social media.
