President Emmerson Mnangagwa has officially commissioned several tourism facilities in Victoria Falls

The new facilities include Palm River Hotel, Zambezi Boutique and Nkosi Lodge.

Speaking during the commissioning the President noted the investments realised in the resort city so far.

“Just today alone we officially opened three hotels. A few months ago we opened others. Victoria Falls has realised investments worth over US$100 million in just two years and they keep on coming.

“My Government recognises that tourism is one of the key pillars of our economy, alongside agriculture, manufacturing and mining. The sector is also an essential vehicle for economic growth & development, as well as a key contributor to foreign currency earnings,” he said.

Giving a prophetic word, Java said Zimbabwe is regaining its status as a bread basket country.
