PROMINENT Zimbabwean journalist, Blessed Mhlanga has been released by the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
Mhlanga was released on Monday afternoon. He was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer in Harare.
He took to social media to reveal that he has been released from cells by the police.
“My lawyer @ChrisMhike fought a good fight, been released. Will now appear in court Thursday accused of assaulting a police officer. I don’t know how a camera can assault a person. I am the one with broken teeth, bruised wrists having been beaten by the police,” he posted.
However, Blessed Mhlanga is set to appear at the Harare High Court on Thursday, 02 December.
