Popular married Harare prophet, Tapiwa Freddy (38), has been sucked into a scandal after a widowed ZBC employee, Rutendo Makuti (33), demanded payment for her silence after she had an affair with him.
Prophet T Freddy dated Rutendo in 2020. The extortion, which involved Rutendo’s brothers, police and a chief (Chief Chikwaka), started in August 2021. T Freddy gave Rutendo a Mercedes Benz vehicle valued at USD$20 000 for her silence.
T Freddy eventually reported the matter to the police after Rutendo’s brother demanded a further $20 000.
