Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has denied allegations of failing to pay R2 million rent.

This comes after City Press reported that PPS Property Trust Fund, has approached the High Court in Johannesburg, seeking to have Bushiri pay more than a million for months in unpaid rent.

Posting on social media, Bushiri said City Press is fabricating stories to push ahead its propaganda ideologies.

“City Press, learn to respect the media policy – do not write false stories just to push a propaganda held baselessy by those (names withheld)”.

Bushiri is alleged to have entered into the first lease agreement on 7 August 2018 and expired on 30 June 2019. The agreement was then extended to June 2022. Bushiri failed to pay a monthly amount of R27 255 and an additional R54 510 for the duration of the first agreement.

The prophet said, “I personally, have never signed such a contract and have never been served with such a legal document”.

He urged his followers to stop subscribing to City Press as they want tarnish his image
