Former South African President, Jacob Zuma, has been granted permission to attend the burial of his brother, Michael Zuma, which will be held this week.

Sunday World reports that correctional services National Commissioner, Arthur Fraser, has approved the application for Zuma’s attendance of the funeral by his lawyers.

Zuma’s application will be processed as compassionate leave and a security plan will be put in place.

Michael died last Sunday after being ill for a long time.
