The confederation of Zimbabwe Industries says Zimbabwe retailers have been affected by the ongoing unrest in South Africa.

Speaking to eNCA, CZA President, Denford Mutashu said:

‘The riots disrupted the supply chain in Zimbabwe which depends on Durban port for movement of capital goods.

A lot of delays of more than 72 hours have been experienced for the goods that had already been paid by for.

Mutashu said while Zimbabwe has become self sufficient in the manufacturing of key basic commodities, the bulk of the raw materials come from South Africa.
