King Mswati has deployed the Eswatini army as protesters continue to destroy buildings and structures.

According to local media reports, atleast 21 people have been killed by Eswatini security forces during pro-democracy protests.

The protests started peacefully in the Manzini region of Africa’s last absolute mornach on June 20 when young people took to the streets in a push for the right to democratically elect the prime minister, currently appointed by King Mswati III

Videos circulating on social media are showing soldiers beating up citizens and using guns to displace protesters.
